Madras government has finally Banned the use of Chinese app Tiktok. The app is one of the fastest growing app of 2019.
It has more than a Billion downloads and more than 58 Million active users from India itself.
Its a platform where users make sort videos. It includes varies filters and background music. Now-a-days TikTok is an addictive app where most of the youth is spending ton of their time. Tiktok is especially used in Tier 2 and Tier 3 Indian cities.
The case was filed by a Madurai-based senior lawyer-cum-social activist Muthu Kumar. Citing pornography, cultural degradation, child abuse, suicides, he had requested the court to direct a ban on TikTok.
The people who are supporting are saying that it promotes pornographic content and children are getting affected from it.
Moreover the youth is spending a lot of time in this app, rather than focusing on actual career.
